Abstract :

This research deals by means of study and analysis the grammatical efforts of one of the most famous grammarians of Alkufa school.

He took over his teacher Alkissaei to complete the formation of this school. This grammarian is called Abu Zakariya Yahya Ben Ziyad Al Ferra`a Al Daylami.

Previous researches and thesis concentrated very much on the bright side, of the lives of the ancient, whereas the less famous aspect, whose importance shrank by the great fame of the bright side, was neglected. But this study can be considered as a good step in the study of the ancients. The study of Al Farra`s grammatical effort was a good beginning for the future studies for some Arab figures in phonology, semantics, syntax and style.

To acomplish this aim I have tried to cover the subject from all its sides. So I collected all the material that is related to Al Farr`a in both ancient and modern books - I have analysed this material, divided it and put it in index. Some times I compared Al Farra`s opinions with others. In the introduction of this study I dealt with the cause and objective of the study, its importance, his previous studies and the methodology. In the preface I dealt with the life of Al Farr`a, his birth and background, the resources of his knowledge and other scientists, caliphates, political parties and readings. I talked about his students, his books, the opinion of other scientists and finally his death .

The first chapter bears the title "The Resource of Al Ferra`s Morphology". I have found that these resources include the Glorious Quran and its reading. The prophet`s teaching, Arab saying and poetry. The second chapter is "Morphology'. Here, I studied Morphology on which Al Farra" opposed the Basra school.

In chapter three. I handeld his morphological efforts which include: the definition of morphology, parts of speech, verbs, gerunds, derevation, word coin, nouns and other phono- morphological cases.

The ancient headed by Al Farra` didn’t differentiate between phonology and morphology, so phonology was studied under mor phology.

By this research I intended to make it an easy reference that includes the mor pholoyical efforts of Al Ferra` so that other scholars can benefit from, especiallay the beginners.

It includes some worke reading and studying morphological cases.

Al Farra` was the brightest and the most Kufa mor phologist because all the morphological issues and subject were included under the topic "Morphology'.

The effect of different levels of manufactured organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer on the growth and yield of three wheat varieties was studied. The expirement was conducted during the year 2001-2002 growing season at Biet Qad Agriculture Expirmental Station near Jenin . Five levels of the organic fertilizer were used (100, 300, 400, 500 and 600 kg / dunum ). Another chemical treatment was used with consists of adding 35 kg / dunum superphosphate and 25 kg/ dunum ammonium sulfate, in addition acontrol treatment was involved a total of 7 fertilizer treatment and 3 varieties were arranged in a completely randomized design of four replicare for each treatment . the following mesurement were taken before harvest. Plant hight, Tiller number, number of fruiting tellers. After harvesting: the total weight, grain weight and the straw weight were calculated.

Sample seeds were taken from each replicate for determining the level of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. The result showed a significiant effect of organic fertilizer treatment over the chemical fertilizer the effect was mainly signficiant on total weight, plant length, number of tillers and the straw weight. Asiginficiant difference was also exhibited by the different varities , mainly for plant height where the hitia variety showed high plant height over the other tow varieties .

The mineral content of the grain was not effect the different fertilizer treatments.

Abstract :

This study aimed at identifying the mistake patterns which are common among the fifth and sixth – grade students in the four arithmetic operations in fractions and decimal fractions. This study also aimed at identifying whether there is a function that represent the degree of the publicity of these mistakes due to the students, gender or grade. More specifically, the study aimed at answering the following questions: 1. what is the percentage of the mistake that are common among the male and female students as they are performing the different operations which are related to the basic concepts and facts in fractions and decimal fractions? 2. is there a difference in the mistake percentage or type due to gender? 3. is there a difference in the degree of the publicity of mistake due to the students' grade? To answer these questions, on achievement test was constructed. This test consists of two sections: one about fractions and the other about decimal fractions. The first section consisted of (16) items and the other consisted of (14) sections. The test's validity and reliability were ensured. The sample of the study consisted of (321) students: (190) males and (131) females distributed on (8) sections: four male sections and four female sections. After conducting the test, the mistakes were analyzed and classified, (15) mistakes were identified as addition mistakes (13) mistakes as subtraction mistakes in fractions, (8) mistakes as multiplication mistakes in fractions, (12) mistakes as division mistakes in fractions, (6) mistakes as multiplication mistakes in decimal fractions, and (8) mistakes as division mistakes in decimal fractions. The percentage of the mistakes in asthmatic operations in fractions was (71.75%) and (66.4%) in arithmetic operations in decimal fractions. To analyze data, the researcher used (χ2). The study showed that there was approximately no difference in the mistakes committed by the fifth grade and the sixth grade on fractions, but that the mistakes committed by the fifth grade were much more common. The researcher of this study recommended to make further studies on the mistakes continue to commit while working on fractions ever when they reach the secondary level and to train moths teachers to look for the reason behind such mistakes, and wary to overcome them. She ells advised the moths teachers to smithy the concept of fractions to make it easier for them to whole on these fractions. Moreover that the people in charge in the ministry of education must take in consideration to lessen the number of students in the classroom, so that it becomes easier for tridents to understand the concept that the teacher presents, and for the teacher to follow 4p his/ her students in and outside the classroom.

Abstract :

This study aimed at evaluating the seventh grades’ Palestinian Islamic Education textbook from teachers’ perspective. The researcher included seven aspects of evaluation: textbook attitudes, goals, content, educational techniques, layout, index, and evaluative questions. The study, further, sought to find out the impact of the variables of sex, experience, academic qualification, specialization, place of teaching, years of teaching the discipline in the teachers’ evaluative assessment of the textbook as a whole and for each of the seventh domains. The population of the study was 120 seventh grade teachers of Islamic education at schools in Nablus Governorate. The sample of the study, randomly chosen, consisted of 40 teachers: 25 males and 15 females. To answer the study questions and test its hypotheses, the researcher developed a 116- item questionnaire in its final version, and was distributed among seven evaluation domains. To test its validity, the researcher showed it to a number of referees. Pertaining to its reliability, the researcher used Cronbach Alpha Equation to ensure its internal consistency. The study reliability was 0. 955. After distribution and collection of the questionnaires from the respondents, the researcher made a processing of the collected data depending on SPSS program. Analysis of the results showed that the teachers of the textbook found it educationally highly acceptable. The total arithmetic means of the teachers’ evaluative assessment of the textbook was 308 on Likert-five-point scale. The percentage amounted to 76%. The analysis also revealed that the teachers’ assessment of the seventh graders’ Islamic Education textbook was high on all domains of study. It was also found that there were no statistically significant differences at level of ( = 0.05) in the evaluation of the textbook which might be due to variables of sex, experience, academic qualification, specialization, place of the school, and years of teaching the Islamic education courses. In the light of the findings, the researcher recommends introducing appropriate pictures, drawings and maps to illustrate the textbook materials. The researcher also recommends that these pictures, drawings and maps should be accurate as possible. He also recommends that textbook teacher and supervisors be involved in the writing and evaluation of the textbook in future editions. He also recommends holding workshops and training courses for each textbook published by the Palestinian Curriculum Development Center. Participation and attendance of these activities has to be compulsory. Finally, there has to be a teacher’s manual for each textbook as well as a revision and a proofreading of the new textbook to make sure is free from mistakes , and new research studies should be conducted in order to evaluate the new Islamic textbooks for another school grades.
